Norfolk Volleyball Association

The Association was reformed in 2006 with the aim of promoting and developing Volleyball in the county by organising leagues for players of all different levels. The leagues and tournaments give the opportunity for everyone, from beginners to experienced players to enjoy, gain experience and develop as a player by participating fully in organised matches, leagues and tournaments

Norfolk Volleyball Association Leagues

Development League
There are three mini-leagues played at the Sportspark in Norwich. Match nights are on a Friday and start at 7pm in the Haydn Morris hall. Each Development League happens on 5 consecutive nights. The league are for new and beginner players to gain match practice in a friendly and sociable league. 

Local League
There are mixed, women's and men's local leagues, with matches played at the Sportspark in Norwich. Match nights are on a Friday and start at 7pm in the Haydn Morris hall. Follow the Local League link for fixtures, images and the latest results.

Regional League
The Eastern Region tournaments are also held in Norwich, these involve 7 or 8 tournaments on a Saturday or Sunday over the year. All teams play at the UEA Sportspark and are run by NVA. The events attract teams from all over East Anglia and are very enjoyable days. Follow the Regional League link for information on fixtures and the latest results, as well as images.

National League
Norfolk boasts two national league teams; Both Norwich Spikers Men and Norwich Spikers Women are entered in the National Volleyball Leagues run by Volleyball England.

Student Competitions
A couple of clubs in Norfolk are involved in School and Student competitions throughout the season. UEA and ENSFC and GYGVC play in county, regional and national tournaments. Please see the Contacts page for information on these clubs.

Tournaments
Norfolk Volleyball Association runs a season opening tournament at the end of September, as well as a tournament to close the season in June. 2v2 Indoor Championships also take place in Easter each year. Other tournaments take place locally, such as the Lowestoft Beach Tournament, which normally takes place in July each year.
